Florida State Worker Charity Campaign Falters Under Poor Management
The state of Florida is suspending the annual state worker charitable campaign after the worst collection year yet, leaving the future of the FSECC in serious doubt.
Only $282,092 was raised this year, a new low in its 36-year history. Jersey-based Solix INC. has been serving as the campaign’s fiscal agent.
The state’s decision to put the campaign on hold means that charities across Florida served by the campaign will see no money from the fall drive.
Previous years have raised as much as $5 million for participating charities and we're sure they are feeling the pinch.
