Lauren Hill’s Efforts for charity “The cure starts Now” on Track for $1 million in donations

CINCINNATI OH – With one day left to meet her goal of one million dollars for cancer research, Lauren Hill who suffers from an inoperable brain tumor, is taking it to the TV waves with her million dollar Telethon.

"Hill got national attention when she played in a Division III basketball game with Mount St. Joseph on Nov. 2 despite suffering from an inoperable brain tumor, which was diagnosed a year ago. She made layups for the first and last baskets of the game."

As of today, Hill, a 19-year-old freshman, has helped raise more than $869,000 for cancer research and treatment through the charity called The Cure Starts Now. The  Telethon is today from 6am to 7pm.
